TERRA (The Electronics Reuse & Recycling Alliance) is an industry-leading organization dedicated to addressing the growing challenge of e-waste through responsible reuse and recycling practices. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, TERRA has quickly grown into the largest network of certified electronics reuse and recycling facilities in the world. The organization is committed to reducing the environmental impact of discarded electronics by promoting the use of certified e-waste recyclers and IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) providers that meet rigorous environmental and safety standards.

TERRA's mission is to maximize the sustainable reuse and recycling of electronics, protecting both human health and the environment. Our focus is on working with facilities certified by either e-Stewards and/or R2, both of which set high standards for responsible e-waste management. TERRA’s membership network now spans more than 120+ facilities across 12 countries, including recent expansions into regions such as India. Through these partnerships, we are diverting hazardous materials away from landfills, ensuring that valuable resources like metals and plastics are recovered and reintroduced into the circular economy.

One of TERRA’s hallmark initiatives is its "Done with IT" program, which offers mail-in e-waste recycling to consumers and businesses. This program emphasizes the convenience and safety of responsible recycling, ensuring data security while preventing environmental harm. TERRA also supports initiatives aimed at creating job opportunities for underserved populations, such as Devices for Autism to employ individuals on the autism spectrum.

By fostering collaboration and education, TERRA aims to shift the conversation around e-waste, emphasizing that certification and responsible practices matter in mitigating the damaging effects of discarded electronics on human health and the planet.
